Introduction to Massage Workshop

Workshop duration: 1 day, 10am – 5pm

Workshop description: Massage is simply the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, the muscles, tendons and ligaments. Using long, smooth strokes, kneading and other movements focused on superficial layers of muscle using massage oil or lotion, massage improves circulation by bringing oxygen and other nutrients to body tissues. It relieves muscle tension and pain, increases flexibility and mobility, and helps clear lactic acid and other waste, which reduces pain and stiffness in muscles and joints. Indian head massage is based on the ayurvedic system of healing which has been practiced in India for over a thousand years. It is a relaxing treatment and excellent for neck and shoulder tension.

What will I learn? This Introduction to Massage Workshop will provide students with a thorough grounding in the basic techniques and theory of massage and indian head massage and how to use massage techniques at home to promote health and wellbeing. Students will learn ‘hands on’ techniques for the use massage and indian head massage. During this 1 day workshop you will learn how to give a simple back massage, shoulders, neck and scalp massage for relaxation to friends and family and enjoy the benefits of receiving one as you practice the techniques taught in pairs. This 1 day workshop is ideal introduction to massage and indian head massage.

How do I pay? A 35% deposit and all appropriate VTCT fees must be received by Chrysalis Therapy Training to secure a place on all of our courses and workshops. The balance is required in full, 31 days prior to the first day of the course or workshop. We offer a 10% discount for payments made in full at time of booking.

Payments can be paid directly into our bank account. You can transfer funds from your own bank account either using online banking or at your branch, completely free and very secure. Simply add to cart and follow the checkout procedure, choosing ‘pay via The Royal Bank of Scotland’ option. Once we have received your order we will contact you with our bank details so that you can arrange a direct bank transfer to complete payment.

Payments can also be made by credit or debit card using the secure services of PayPal. Simply add to cart and follow the checkout procedure, choosing ‘pay via PayPal’ option. Once we have received your order we will contact you to confirm receipt.
