Workshop description: Body language is a term for communication using body movements or gestures instead of, or in addition to, sounds, verbal language or other communication. They say a picture paints a thousand words and the same can certainly be said for gestures. We all subconsciously give away hints as to our true feelings. Once you know how to interpret the behaviour of people around you, you’ll have a glimpse into the workings of their minds. The consultation is a very important part of any holistic therapy treatment and it is essential that therapists develop their consultation skills if they wish to provide their clients with an effective treatment. It is not enough to just confirm that there are no contraindications present that would prevent treatment from taking place. Because of their very nature, holistic therapies treat the client as a whole, taking into account their lifestyle, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual parts of themselves.

Consisting of interactive exercises and practice, discussions, lectures and demonstrations that will enhance all your professional relationships, this workshop is aimed at practicing therapists who want to maximise their ability to understand their clients and improve their communication skills. It will cover eye contact, personal space, rapport, how to listen, basic gestures, communication skills, personality traits and mirroring, the importance of the consultation, what should be included in an effective consultation, the consultation form and the Holistic Consultation.

How do I pay? A 35% deposit and all appropriate VTCT fees must be received by Chrysalis Therapy Training to secure a place on all of our courses and workshops. The balance is required in full, 31 days prior to the first day of the course or workshop. We offer a 10% discount for payments made in full at time of booking.
Payments can be paid directly into our bank account. You can transfer funds from your own bank account either using online banking or at your branch, completely free and very secure. Simply add to cart and follow the checkout procedure, choosing ‘pay via The Royal Bank of Scotland’ option. Once we have received your order we will contact you with our bank details so that you can arrange a direct bank transfer to complete payment.
