Course duration: Practical elements are covered over 4 days attendance at our centre 9.30am – 5.30pm. Theory elements are covered by homestudy, typically over 3 to 12 months plus 2 final assessments to be carried out at our centre.
Course description: Crystal Therapy is a relaxing, non-invasive therapy that utilises the energy of natural crystals to bring about a positive and balancing effect on our physical, emotional and mental well-being. It can therefore be used safely to treat a wide variety of disorders on any or all of these levels.
What will I learn? This qualification includes interpersonal skills, consultation, types and effects of different crystals, uses of crystals including cleansing, energising, configurations, concepts of auras and chakras and the use of crystals with other therapies in a holistic treatment programme. It is suitable for those employed in beauty or holistic therapy, health related services. All types of crystals are covered to provide a comprehensive framework as a basis for lifelong study of this therapy. This qualification at level 3 will lead to practitioner status, enabling the candidate to combine the use of crystal therapy with other holistic therapies. Although Crystal Therapy lacks scientific validation, you will learn how to provide a safe and professional service for clients.

What are the course requirements? It is recommended that you have a level of general education comparable to GCSEs. You should have a caring disposition and be committed to fulfilling the in-class and guided home study components of the course. Students are required to cover specific crystals in order to meet the performance criteria and range statements for the 2011/2012 syllabus; therefore we have prepared our comprehensive VTCT Holistic Crystal Therapy Kit which is included in the course costs. To enrol on this course you must attend an enrolment interview either in person meeting the course tutor, or via telephone/Skype. You must meet the required Guided learning Hours (GLH) by attending our centre and by attending classes in our Virtual Learning Environment, online meetings and reviews with your tutor and assessor via Moodle.
Case studies: You must carry out and document evidence for at least twenty treatments on a minimum of four clients.
How will I be assessed? This qualification requires the student to provide evidence of competence in the form of case studies or individual treatments to cover range statements, demonstrate sufficient knowledge to be able to explain Crystal Therapy and provide it safely, effectively and consistently.
Independent study is an essential part of this course and you will be required to complete both practical and theoretical assignments at home. Assessments will take place during the course and again when all your case studies and Portfolio of Evidence is completed.

How do I pay? A 35% deposit and all appropriate VTCT fees must be received by Chrysalis Therapy Training to secure a place on all of our courses and workshops. The balance is required in full, 31 days prior to the first day of the course or workshop. We offer a 10% discount for payments made in full at time of booking. Private Tuition - If you would prefer to attend one of our courses or workshops on a one to one basis with our tutors rather than attend a scheduled course in a group of 4 sudents then we can arrange private tuition for you.
