Course duration: Practical elements are covered over 2 days attendance at our centre 9.30am – 5.30pm. Theory elements are covered by homestudy, typically over 3 to 12 months plus 2 final assessments to be carried out at our centre.
Course description: Flower essences are the blossoms of plants prepared from a sun infusion in a bowl of water, then further diluted, potentized and then preserved with brandy. These preparations embody the distinct imprint, or energetic pattern of each flower species. The use of flower essences is classed as vibrational medicine, which incorporates the use of chi energies within living organisms such as plants, gemstones and crystals, water, sunlight and even the foods we eat.
What will I learn? The aim of this qualification is to train candidates to a professionally competent level enabling them to provide effective flower essence therapy which meets client needs and to demonstrate a full and accurate understanding of the application of interpersonal skills. Students will be able to develop knowledge and understanding of the uses and limits of interpersonal skills and their integration with physical therapies to become competent in the application of flower essences. This qualification provides the exciting opportunity to study and apply a wide range of flower essences from many Countries. You will learn about the infusion process, history and benefits of flower essences and different flower essence product ranges. You will also learn about vibrational medicine, subtle energy, aura, chakras, chi energy, energy patterns of flowers. Although Flower Essence Therapy lacks scientific validation, you will learn how to provide a safe and professional service for clients. A large part of the course concentrates on the practical application of flower essences on other students, progressing to client sessions for the purpose of assessment and case studies to cover the ranges needed to pass the qualification.

What are the course requirements? It is recommended that you have a level of general education comparable to GCSEs. You should have a caring disposition and be committed to fulfilling the in-class and guided home study components of the course. To enroll on this course you must attend an enrollment interview either in person meeting the course tutor, or via telephone/Skype. You must meet the required Guided Learning Hours (GLH) by attending our centre and by attending classes in our Virtual Learning Environment, online meetings and reviews with your tutor and assessor via Moodle. Students are required to cover specific flower essences in order to meet the performance criteria and range statements for the 2011 syllabus, therefore we have prepared our VTCT Flower Essence Kit which is included in the course costs. Chrysalis Therapy Training can also supply additional recommended Flower Essence brands at a special discounted price, full details and order forms will be issued to students during the course.
Case studies – you must carry out and document evidence for at least twenty treatments on a minimum of four clients.
How will I be assessed? This qualification requires the student to provide evidence of competence in the form of case studies or individual treatments to cover range statements, demonstrate sufficient knowledge to be able to explain Flower Essence Therapy and provide it safely, effectively and consistently.
Independent study is an essential part of this course and you will be required to complete both practical and theoretical assignments at home. Assessments will take place during the course and again when all your case studies and Portfolio of Evidence is completed.
