Course Summary: Thermal Auricular Therapy or Ear Candling has been used in Britain for over 15 years in the treatment of common ear, nose and throat conditions. Hopi ear candling, as it is also known, originates from the Hopi Indians of North America. However, it has much more practical applications in today’s world, from balance problems, excessive wax, ringing in ear, migraines, headaches, sinusitis and ear, nose and throat infections.

Course Content: This qualification enables existing holistic therapists to carry out safe and professional therapeutic ear candle treatments. This course covers both practical and theory aspects of treatment and is suitable for those employed in beauty and hairdressing establishments.

Includes: This Diploma also includes the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Health, Safety, Security and Employment Standards. This course is a mandatory part of all Holistic and Sports Therapy courses. If however you have already gained this Diploma in the last 3 years you will not have to complete it again providing evidence can be shown. Please bring a packed lunch, herbal teas and filtered water will be provided for you.

Prerequisites: No prior experience is required but candidates are recommended to have a level of general education comparable with GCSEs.

Course Delivery: This course is delivered in person at our VTCT approved assessment centre over 2 days.

Course Assessment: This qualification requires the candidate to provide evidence of competence in the form of case studies or individual treatments to cover range statements, and demonstrate sufficient knowledge to be able to explain Thermal Auricular Therapy and provide it safely, effectively and consistently. Independent study is an essential part of this course and you will be required to complete both practical and theoretical assignments at home. Assessments will take place during the course and on the final assessment day.

Course Tutor: Joanne Tinsley is a highly qualified tutor who specialises in vibrational therapies and business management.

Course Fees: Your Investment is £299 which includes all VTCT registration and certification fees. If you have already registered with VTCT this will be reduced by £16 and if you have already gained the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Health, Safety, Security and Employment Standards in the last 3 years this will be reduced by a further £18.

The Dr. Mom Slimline LED Otoscope to assess the health and condition of each ear to ensure it is safe to proceed with Thermal Auricular Therapy Treatment.

We use only the best quality and safest ear candles on the market including Otosan, Biosun and Aurecon, all of which have filters fitted to prevent wax and candle residue falling into the ear.
