Just like Joanne, after a series of bad experiences as a student during her own training, over the years she has become determined to provide her students with an experience that would not only enable them to become professional therapists but enhance their spiritual development and enrich their lives.
Supported whole heartedly by her business partner Joanne and Joanne’s husband Jason, Cindy has managed not only to turn that vision into a reality but to create a ‘family’ environment where students feel safe, secure and nurtured. Joanne, Cindy and Jason continue to strive for excellence in all that they do.
Cindy is a fully qualified therapist in Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, La Stone® Therapy, No Hands® Massage Advanced Practitioner, Reflexology, Flower Essences, Stress Management, Advanced Nutrition, Thai Foot Massage, Reiki, Sports Injuries (F.A. qualified), Sports Massage, Swedish Massage, Colour Therapy, Crystal Therapy and Thermal Auricular Therapy.
Over the last 10 years Cindy has built up a successful private practice, New Holistic and a wealth of experience in treating clients with a variety of different muscular complaints and conditions ranging from RSI from long hours at the computer, low back pain from excessive driving to more specific injuries such as ‘runners knee’, frozen shoulder and sciatica.
Cindy is highly motivated and dedicated to ensuring that all the training provided by Chrysalis Therapy Training is of the highest standard.
Here is what a few of Cindy’s students thoughts about her courses and workshops:
“Really pleased with the training I received today, Cindy was very open and approachable and I felt at ease learning with her. The course content was thorough and allowed for input and discussion, unlike some courses offered at large colleges. Thanks for a great day and for the biccies!”
(Abigail Ellis, Massage Therapist, Manchester)
“The advanced hot and cold deep tissue massage course and the energy workshop were both fantastic. It was a new experience for the students, they all learnt alot from it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you Cindy.”
(Jacinta Price, Lecturer Wigan & Leigh College, Wigan)
“I enrolled on the VTCT stone therapy course in September with Chrysalis Therapy Training hoping that I would have an experienced and friendly tutor. My fears were put to rest immediately as Cindy was really helpful, very experienced and couldn’t do enough to help me. The ongoing support is second to none and I always feel comfortable asking any questions I may have ….even the stupid ones!! I would also like to mention that Chrysalis Therapy Training are always reviewing and updating their teaching methods for the students benefit, even at further costs to themselves. Thank you Cindy!”
(Alison Kerrigan, UK)
“I completed an Introduction to Indian Head Massage Workshop on 13th November and found it to be a very educational and enjoyable experience indeed. My tutor Cindy was extremely knowledgeable on the theory and also brilliant at teaching the practical techniques. I would highly recommend Chrysalis Therapy Training to anyone who is looking for that ‘ex tra’ personal support which is usually missing in a conventional college environment due to the large group sizes.”
(Mahmood, UK)
“Having previously worked in the body building industry and having an interest in sports massage, I thought it was a natural progression to learn the subject. I enrolled onto a level 2 VTCT sports and fitness therapies course at a local college. This enabled me to look at the subject more closely. I was very disappointed with the way lessons were d elivered. I particularly didn’t feel confident enough to take the next level 3 with the same college. I had got to know most of the level 3 students of the same year and they all advised me to seek tutoring somewhere else if I was serious about a career in this industry. It was the best advice I had ever been given. They themselves had to take lessons from professionals outside the college, to learn new and specific techniques to use in the sports massage field. I found this bizarre to say the least. I have to thank these people for the advice they gave me because I was able to do some searching for the right college and a friend higly recommended I look at Chrysalis Therapy Training. My friend has taken quite a few courses with them and was in no doubt that they were the college for me. She said I would get support which would be second to none and now, having experienced Chrysalis Therapy Training, I can only say that I have learned from the rest now I have truly found the BEST. I am 55 years of age and was a little apprehensive about how I would digest the information but with the understanding and empathetic approach of my tutor Cindy Vernon who put me at ease, I was able to complete the course and now feel confident and fully equipped with the necessary knowledge and practical skills I need to be a professional sports massage therapist. I cannot sing their praises high enough and looking foward to doing my Reflexology course with Chrysalis Therapy Training in the very near future. Thank You Cindy”
